2022 Holiday Recap
Another trip around the sun,
so many events, so many donations…what have we done?
It has been a busy year four for local 501(c)(3) Friends of Pound Ridge. Organizational growth, new co-produced events all around town, and significantly increased volunteer support, have all made for another remarkable year, and we couldn’t have done it without our 10576 community. In recent years, the revitalization of our community has been amazing, and as local community leaders, we thank everyone for making our community a home where friends feel more like family.
In year 4, FoPR produced 6 uniquely significant community events including:
- The Earth Day Everyday Festival
- The FREE Memorial Day BBQ in PRTP (co-produced with The Pound Ridge Police Benevolent Association & The Market at Pound Ridge Square)
- The First FoPR Ladies Golf Day Tournament @ Pound Ridge Golf Club
- The FoPR PopUp Waterpark
- The Pound Ridge Community Golf Tournament @PRGC
- Halloweenfest! (Chili & Rib Cookoff, Trunk or Treat, and Wiffleball Tourney, co-produced with PRES PTA & Bedford Pound Ridge Baseball Association)
All fundraisers and events were complete sellouts, supported 100% by you, the local 10576 community. What did we do with the funds that we raised? 100% of the net proceeds have supported our local Initiatives including:
- The FoPR Earth Day Everyday Initiative
- The StoryWalk® Project (on the town walking path)
- The FREE Townwide Memorial Day BBQ
- Halloweenfest event in support of PRES PTA & Bedford Pound Ridge Baseball Association
- Donation to our local Pound Ridge Seniors Program
- Partnership with PRBA in the seasonal Holiday Light Installation in The Pound Ridge Business District
- Continued improvements to the original FoPR Pondhouse Restoration
- Other, soon-to-be-announced projects
Donations Welcome!
Donations Welcome!
From PRES, to PRTP, to the Pound Ridge Business District, and anywhere in-between
While our continued community fundraising journey is a collective labor of love, we know we cannot do it alone. With your support, we hope to continue to produce fun and engaging community events. Please consider a contribution this Holiday Season. Any amount makes a difference, small or large, and rest assured knowing your contribution is planting a seed for something new and exciting in the place we all call home.
From all of us at Friends of Pound Ridge, thank you for all your support!
We wish you Happy Holidays!
